About

Dr. Tunisha Singleton holds a Ph.D. in Media Psychology, where she specializes in the impact of media and technology on the human experience. Her research delves into the business implications of these influences, with particular focus on fandom, meaning making, media narratives and messages, brand storytelling, and the ecosystem of sports business. Dr. Singleton is adept at identifying patterns in consumer behavior and emerging media consumption, as well as understanding media development and marketing in an applied manner.

Her interdisciplinary scholarship bridges theory and practice, offering valuable insights into the evolving landscape of media. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Faculty member at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, an Adjunct Faculty member at Howard University, and Associate Faculty at Fielding Graduate University with a robust history of curriculum development. Her background in psychology allows her to deeply understand narrative persuasion, brand storytelling, the experience economy, decision-making models, and group dynamics – essential knowledge areas for effective and proactive executive leadership.

Dr. Singleton embraces being an outspoken disruptor, challenging conventional practices to foster transformational change and uplift those marginalized by outdated systems and ineffective campaigns. And as a professional 1-2 punch of art and science, her unique valuable blend of creativity and analytical skill enables her to identify trends that others might overlook. Plus, she genuinely gives a damn about her work!

Her robust portfolio includes clients such as the NFL, Peabody Awards, Maverick Wrestling, Warner Media, Games for Change, America’s Funniest Home Videos (yes, that 💩’s still on…), and more. Through this work, she applies her scholarly research to inform the design of practical strategies that drive engagement and deliver results.

In 2024, she was also honored with the esteemed distinction of being named a Fellow for Salzburg Global, an international organization founded as a forum to exchange new ideas and best practices to amplify impact worldwide in culture, arts, and society. She is also President on the Board of Directors for Black Girl Hockey Club, a nonprofit organization focused on making hockey more inclusive for Black women, our families, and allies by building a safe community and creating involvement opportunities on and off the ice. #LetsDoThatHockey
